The Lord
says, In this season, I am moving heaven and earth to bring restoration
to …mothers and daughters”. I hear His heart saying that families are
more precious to Him than anything else is.
God
is not leaving out other family relationships.
See an excerpt from Kim Clement’s words
at the end of April. I am certain that
the Lord mentioned mothers and daughters because of “Mother’s Day” and
perhaps because I am seeing restoration between my daughter and myself.
Less than a month ago, we were so at odds with one another -you might
have thought we were bitter enemies.
I would
like to share a word that I received last year on Mother’s Day through
Michial Ratliff. Although it was a personal word, I am getting a
witness that He is doing it around the world. As we know when the
word of the Lord goes forth it becomes timeless …I know that like an arrow
it will go right into the spirits of those who read it. Grab hold of it
for yourself and behold Him watch over His word to perform it.
(See
the link to the word Family Chemistry by Michial Ratliff)
I find it interesting that He waited so long to bring this word. It will
hardly make it out before Mother’s Day 2006. My experience is that “Father
Knows Best”.
I was laying in bed the other night reading about the generational sins
that are still trying to plague my family and the Lord reminded me that
this coming Sunday would be a year since I received the word about family
revival. Many of you have felt forsaken by your mother or perhaps you
feel that your children feel forsaken by you. I sense that He is going
to birth afresh the revelation that He is your all in all.
Ps
27:10 although my father and my mother have forsaken me, yet the Lord
will take me up [adopt me as His child]. [Ps 22:10.] AMP… Ps 22:9-10
9 Yet You are He Who took me out of the womb; You made me hope and trust
when I was on my mother's breasts.10 I was cast upon You from my very
birth; from my mother's womb You have been my God. AMP
I find it interesting that a woman or women are
used as symbolisms for many-many things that are dear to God’s heart.
We find that He exposes the maternal side of His nature in a number of
places. Isa 66:12-13
& Isa 49:15-17
AMP See each scripture. Throughout
Proverbs, Wisdom is depicted as “She”. We also notice that He refers to
Israel and the church (Zion) as a woman (mother). In Isaiah 54, the Lord
speaks tenderly to women …their barrenness, brokenness and says not only
is He her maker, but her husband. There He lays out a beautiful story
of His plans to restore her. I have been divorced for many years. With
His permission, I have changed the meaning of widowed to read divorced
and though I have natural children, I have declared that I will have many
spiritual children.

For some
of us, the last few months have felt like the twilight zone. Nothing that
has happened has made any sense. Yet I have had the distinct feeling that
God has been using this time to accomplish some things. Even though some
of the things have looked bad, they will end up looking very good. I am
not saying the devil has not thrown some tough punches along the way,
what do we expect is his days are numbered.
Isa 54:16-
Behold, I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire, and
that bring forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster
to destroy. I have always found this to be a curious scripture. Matthew
Henry’s comments bring clarification when He says, “Military men
value themselves on their splendid titles, but God calls them, “Wasters
made to destroy”, for they make wasting and destruction their business.
He created them, therefore he will serve his own designs by them”
To his own He says in verse 17, no weapon formed against you shall
prosper. This holds true if we go into the battle at His bidding and timing.
I believe
that in the midst of the turmoil, the Lord wants to go ahead and close
the book on some old chapters. No more looking over our shoulders …fearing
the past. I truly see light at the end of the tunnel. I can feel a breakthrough
coming.
Isa 49:15-17 15 [And the Lord answered]
Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion
on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget
you. 16 Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed a picture of) you
on the palm of each of My hands; [O Zion] your walls are continually
before Me. 17 Your children and your builders make haste; your destroyers
and those who laid you waste go forth from you. AMP
Isa 66:12-13 For thus says the Lord: Behold,
I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations
like an overflowing stream; then you will be nursed, you will be carried
on her hip and trotted [lovingly bounced up and down] on her [God's
maternal] knees. As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort
you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem. AMP
Isa 54:1-17 54:1 SING, O barren one, you who
did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who did not
travail with child! For the [spiritual] children of the desolate one
will be more than the children of the married wife, says the Lord. [Gal
4:27.] 2 Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your
habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen
your stakes, 3 For you will spread abroad to the right hand and to the
left; and your offspring will possess the nations and make the desolate
cities to be inhabited. 4 Fear not, for you shall not be ashamed; neither
be confounded and depressed, for you shall not be put to shame. For
you shall forget the shame of your youth, and you shall not [seriously]
remember the reproach of your widowhood any more. 5 For your Maker is
your Husband--the Lord of hosts is His name--and the Holy one of Israel
is your Redeemer; the God of the whole earth He is called. 6 For the
Lord has called you like a woman forsaken, grieved in spirit, and heartsore--even
a wife [wooed and won] in youth, when she is [later] refused and scorned,
says your God. 7 For a brief moment I forsook you, but with great compassion
and mercy I will gather you [to Me] again. 8 In a little burst of wrath
I hid My face from you for a moment, but with age-enduring love and
kindness I will have compassion and mercy on you, says the Lord, your
Redeemer. 9 For this is like the days of Noah to Me; as I swore that
the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn
that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you. 10 For though the mountains
should depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness
shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness
be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you. 11 O you afflicted
[city], storm-tossed and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones
in fair colors [in antimony to enhance their brilliance] and lay your
foundations with sapphires. 12 And I will make your windows and pinnacles
of [sparkling] agates or rubies, and your gates of [shining] carbuncles,
and all your walls [of your enclosures] of precious stones. [Rev 21:19-21.]
13 And all your [spiritual] children shall be disciples [taught by the
Lord and obedient to His will], and great shall be the peace and undisturbed
composure of your children. [John 6:45.] 14 You shall establish yourself
in righteousness (rightness, in conformity with God's will and order):
you shall be far from even the thought of oppression or destruction,
for you shall not fear, and from terror, for it shall not come near
you. 15 Behold, they may gather together and stir up strife, but it
is not from Me. Whoever stirs up strife against you shall fall and surrender
to you. 16 Behold, I have created the smith who blows on the fire of
coals and who produces a weapon for its purpose; and I have created
the devastator to destroy. 17 But no weapon that is formed against you
shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment
you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security,
triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
[those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is
the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this
is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.

Footnotes for Isa 54:1AMP
54:1 Although this Chapter is primarily intended to express Zion's joy
over redemption, it has also a very personal, long-neglected, and often
overlooked message for women--the lonely, the disappointed, the childless,
the widow. It has all the glorious confidence and assurance, the incentive
and understanding, for which feminine hearts have longed throughout
the ages! Every woman who will read it every week for a year with receptive
heart and mind will find herself not only spiritually prepared for her
own childlessness or widowhood, should it come, but also supplied with
rich treasure with which to address the similar needs of countless other
aching hearts to whom the Holy Spirit is here speaking.
