HOOF BEATS APPROACHING
This
illustration and poem came as a result of a vision shared through a lady
named Susan Cummings.
The two silhouettes upon the hill represent the ever-present struggle
between "Good and Evil". The praiser and worshiper shall become His proud
war horse; His goodly horse for battle Zech 10:3.
In her vision a white horse rushed up to her and there they stood face to
face. While she received one interpretation from the Lord; He showed me
something else entirely. She said, the vision could have a number of
applications. As I read the details of her vision I began to hear “the sound
of hoof beats”. What I felt the Lord was saying was that He was sending
Horses to the foot soldiers. I felt that the horse was waiting for us to
harness and mount up. We think we are waiting on Him and He is waiting on
us. One of my favorite scriptures is Isa. 49:2 …And he hath made my mouth
like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a
polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me… The season of being hidden
…the season of polishing and sharpening has come to an end. For you are His
battle ax and weapons of war; with you will He break in pieces the nations
and with you will He destroy kingdoms. Jer 51:20 The Lord is your strength;
He teaches your hands for war, and your fingers for battle…Psa 144:1. The
praiser and worshiper shall become His proud war horse; His goodly horse for
battle Zech 10:3.
The
sound of hoof beats reminds us that there are sounds of war. We see the
horse as swift and graceful; strong and powerful; most beautiful when it
runs free from encumbrances such as saddles, bridles and such. That is why
we are warned not to be like the ones who have no understanding and must be
directed with bit and bridle Psa 32:9. A well trained –submitted horse can
be gently directed by its master. God delights not in the strength of the
horse nor does He take pleasure in the speed of the runner; but in those who
reverence Him and find hope in His steadfast love. Psa 147:10-11
We
belong to the day, we should be self-controlled, putting on faith and love
as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. Be encouraged, the
days of wrath were not appointed for us; we are to receive and experience
salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thes 5:8-9 NIV)
When
you hear the hoof beats that are now approaching, know that evil is rapidly
encroaching!
Hear the sounds echoing through the land. Know that the Kingdom of God is
now at hand.
This is the day of the Lord of Hosts. In this hour He will trample His foes.
The Lord of Host instructs from above. Time as you know it, you’ve seen the
end of.
For these are the days of your absolution; and surely the year of My
retribution.
Though wars and rumors of wars sound from sea to shining sea; the end is not
yet most will agree.
He strengthens the horse; clothes him with thunder; those in his path will
be torn asunder.
Like arrows cast forth are His great lightning's. These days and hours are
of His appointings.
Advance you horsemen, warriors go forth. The God of all heaven has charted
your course.
Stand forth with your helmets; polish your spears, for my warriors march
forth without any fears.
Harness the horses, harness my power. You will experience immense victories
in this hour.
Come up you horses with righteous rage for this is my battle that you will
wage.
Wage a good warfare, fight a good fight, for this is the hour I will empower
you with might.
Look round about, watch our enemies fall, as you march forth answering the
call.
For I
have said to My Son, "Sit at My right hand while your enemies become your
footstool throughout the land".
Watch round about both far and near as gross darkness begins to appear.
My people, My beacons; rise and shine forth, for the knowledge of the Lord
will cover the earth.
If you are one that has received the Light; gird up your loins, get ready to
fight.
If in the foot race, you were not rattled, then take buckler and shield;
advance for battle.
Or have you stumbled in the safest of places? Can you boldly stare into
antagonist
faces?
Take this time –wait upon Me and become strong, lest you mount the steed and
fall headlong.
The war is the Lord’s; it’s already defined, My word is your weapon and the
battlefield is the mind. |
