A few month's ago I began
to see people around me (including myself) began to experience a
downsizing ...having to move into smaller, more cramped uncomfortable
places. The Lord said, "This appears to be a step backwards, but when a
baby is being born, it is moved from a large place (the womb) into a small
place (the birth canal). It has to transition from a large place to a
small place before it can come into the larger place that is ordained for
it. If there is a struggle against the process by the mother or the baby,
both experience more discomfort and trauma.
I can see that when God
needs a baby birthed –when it is time… the baby will come even when the
mother or the baby are not ready mentally, physically or spiritually. How
have you readied yourself and your baby for the process?
I remember attending some
classes offered by John and Paula Sandford. In their material, there is a
concept they cover external trauma from not being wanted, fighting,
screaming, negative words, etc; you find that the babies fight against the
process. These results in long unnecessary labors because the baby has
fear instilled into it –dread coming out …worse yet the baby can be
aborted or stillborn.
Has God’s baby been hearing words of fear or words of faith? Have you been
embracing and nurturing it with love, anticipation, and the solid food of
the word? Or has it had to gain its sustenance from junk food or the sweet
delicacies that tickle your ears and place you in denial of spiritual
realities. This is perhaps worse than exposing your baby to fear,
emotional or physical abuse.
As I am writing this, I
am reminded of a word for 2006 by Scott Hicks. I published an excerpt in
the January Newsletter. The portion I focused on was the re-positioning as
it pertained to my being re-positioned to the place where I was raised in
order to be in position to birth the things that God wanted to bring
forth. I thought I would never come back here
“God will position people in His Kingdom in the correct places.
Many that thought they were established in their current location will be
repositioned for a great harvest. Many established ministries will
begin to change direction in their goals and focuses” ... Excerpt from
Scott Hicks
I do not wish to get into
an elongated description of the birthing process lest I lose all the guys.
But since we are speaking of birthing things in the spirit, it would
behoove them to stay with it. There is a certain position that is
conducive to an easier birth. Now for those who have had babies, they will
tell you that there is nothing easy about the process. Then talk with
those who have gone into labor with baby in the wrong position. Here is
where the word “Reposition” comes into play.
In a natural pregnancy, the womb (uterus) is roomy enough to allow a fetus
to change position, rotate, and come headfirst. Any other position is
called a breech birth. For the sake of the mother and the child, the
doctor must turn or re-position the baby.
We should be crying out
for the Lord to enlarge our capacity to hold those things that He would
want to bring forth in and through us. In this season, we cannot afford to
allow small mindedness and unbelief to malnourish and abort the baby. If
the baby is not aborted, it could be still born or lethargic should it
survive.
There are two
applications apparent here. We are the sons of God that He wants to birth
forth on the seen (scene). We are carrying dreams and visions that God has
entrusted us to carry in our womb. Once we learn and work with the
process, it becomes easier the next time around. See

Way of Ease.
